You can either book online or by calling the office at (916) 244-4808. All flights should be scheduled as far in advance as possible. We charge a fifty dollar per passenger booking deposit. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the flight booked.
Booking and Cancellation Policies
Due to COVID 19 We are instituting a cancel the day prior with no penalty policy. If anyone in your party is not feeling well or has been in recent contact with anyone that may have been sick you do not have to worry about losing your money. Please, cancel the flight and reschedule for a later time.
Customers have 72 hours prior to the day of their scheduled flight to cancel or reschedule. Flights canceled less than 72 hours prior to scheduled flight will be billed in full for the flight booked and given the opportunity to reschedule or receive flight certificates for use up to 12 months later.
Single passengers must book a date with other passengers already on the schedule. We do not fly single riders at shared basket rates.
All customers must call the office between 10:00am and 6:00pm the day before the flight to confirm that the weather is going to be favorable, and the exact meeting time.
Customers who are “No Shows” and or did not cancel or reschedule 72 hours prior to the flight will be billed for the full amount of the flight booked. Being late for your balloon flight is just like being late for a airplane flight. We have a scheduled launch time and due to weather considerations we will not “Hold on the Runway” waiting for someone who is late. Being late for your flight will result in being billed in full for the flight booked as a “No Show”. All flights leave with-in 20 minutes of the scheduled meeting time.
We want people to enjoy their experience with us. We do not want to bill someone who was a “No Show”. Please understand that we only get so many flying days a year and should you be a “No Show” someone else will have likely lost the opportunity to fly that day. Most balloon companies do not offer refunds at all once a flight is scheduled. We think 72 hours is fair to both our customers and ourselves. Please be on time!
Should Sky Drifters cancel the flight due to weather prior to the flight date or on-site, the customer has the option to reschedule or too receive a full refund of their deposit or total amount paid or billed to the credit card on file.
Due to winds and the concern we have for our passengers we may occasionally shorten a flight or even cancel a flight the morning of. We ask that you be understanding of losing a few minutes of flight time or having to come back on another day. We do not like to cancel but will not risk having an unsafe flight to avoid disappointing you. Better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than to be in the air wishing you were on the ground!

Our pilots all hold FAA Commercial LTA pilot licenses! Our balloons are FAA Certified and undergo mandatory 100 hour as well as mandatory annual inspections at an independent FAA licensed repair facility. All balloon flights and tethers are commercially insured.
